Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools and Albert Lacombe Catholic Elementary School Advent Service Project -

In the early morning of June 30th, 2021, the St. Jean Baptiste Parish in Morinville caught fire. Despite attempts by fire crews to save the historic church, it was destroyed due to the fire.

We are one human family regardless of where we live. We are our brothers’ and sisters’ keepers, wherever they may be. As one of our communities within Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools experienced a tremendous loss, we support our communities in need. In this case, the Albert Lacombe Catholic Elementary School community will also focus our efforts on the assistance of rebuilding St. Jean Baptiste Parish.

If one member of Christ’s body suffers, all suffer. If one member is honoured, all rejoice (1 Corinthians 12:12-26).

Goal: $1,000.00

Fundraising Campaign Window: December 5 - December 23rd

Community/Parent/Guardian Donations:

The Student Engagement Piece:

'The Doug,' our Division's chaplain has been kidnapped by the Grinch to stop him from sharing the joy of Christmas and the story of God's love for us. Instead of anger, the Grinch needs our love! If we as a school division raise enough money, we can help the Grinch's heart to grow, so he will return 'The Doug.' Parents and guardians can see the video on how it all gets started: check out the video ( ). All funds raised in support of the rebuilding of St. Jean Baptiste Parish Church which was tragically burned in 2021.
