Walking to and from School

Walking to and from School

Many of our students do not take the bus to and from school and rely on having to walk. It is very important that parents and guardians take the time to speak to their children about safety when it comes to crossing the street.

The City of St. Albert has engaged in a campaign to eliminate collisions between vehicles and pedestrians, where they have placed Point Pause Proceed signs at 50 non-signalized pedestrian crossings throughout the city. At Albert Lacombe Catholic School, our teachers will dedicate time at the beginning of the year to remind students about safety when crossing the street.

You can access the Point, Push, Pause, Proceed information brochure for your reference below.
